i don't know when or who or anything like that, and i don't really give a shit either. but i saved his ass from the paparazzi trying to chase him down after he ran straight into me and lost two of the dogs from the shelter

[He'd lost the dogs! That's really the worst part here, considering that one of them had been one of his favorites at the shelter. And of course Dante had then had to help track them down...]

i know i'm good at pissing people off but this guy's something else, i didn't even try and he hates me. when i was down at the station he came through just to give me shit

so obviously when another guy's talking about how furuwhatever the fuck his name is [Furugawa, Dante, Togusa wrote it right there] forgot his name, i took the chance to give him a little grief myself since apparently he can't keep it in his pants long enough to get his job done or learn a guy's name first

Part of me does want to call out using one of the secrets that Reteospec was giving out a few months ago, because for some damn reason, that was what the paparazzi cared about. It's gonna be a sore spot for anybody.

But hell, it's just like with two other officers at the station, if they would just leave the whole thing alone, it would die down, but no, now it's Furugawa who has to keep poking at people.

i didn't know the paparazzi were tracking the secrets the network was broadcasting, the only time i ran into them personally was coming out of the retrospec building

Under any other circumstance, I'd take exception to the idea of using information you got out of those reporters against each other. But, he's doing the same thing, isn't he? Only way I can see him finding out about your family situation (which I didn't know about until he blabbed on the network, by the way) is from the press, or if he's using his police position to get gossip on people, which is even more against Department policy than fraternization.

Either way, I feel like he brought this on himself.

Okay. What can you do to him that's legal, or what can you do to him that's not going to get some sort of reprisal? Because those are two very different things. If he's not afraid to leverage his position to get back at you, that calls for a different set of tactics. Unless you're completely okay with him doing that.

To the original question? Okay, the easy way is to just keep spamming garbage on Retrospec, the one good thing about the legal black hole the thing seems to fall in is that there's just about no LEGAL repercussions for whatever you put on there. Nice and emotionally satisfying, and while it is also the way to make him most likely to retaliate, he also looks like the biggest jackass for retaliating over what boils down to an internet flame war.

[In real life, Togusa is trying not to let on that he is staring at the front desk booth where whoever is on rotation has to sit to talk to people as they come in. Close-in privacy walls on either side of the desk... Nope. He said he wasn't going to try to work it out.]

The 'we're going to settle this like grownups' option is to file a harassment claim here. I know for a damn fact you're not going to, but let me at least have typed out those words.

The middle ground? You need more information on him. I know he's from Recolle. Somebody else around here has to know him well.
