Place's a bit bigger than my old one, which is nice! I got my own room, and the rent's cheaper since we split it. No pets allowed, though, so Noct's staying with Rufus... Yo, want the grand tour?

[Is it bad if that makes Dante relax a little bit more? It's an unfamiliar situation, but Cloud not being here yet puts him a little bit closer to solid ground.]

[further inside they go and prompto presents the living room, which is immediately after stepping inside]

Living room. We play video games and watch TV here. Noct got Cloud the entertainment system as a house warming gift... uh, and there's Cloud's figurines. Have you seen anything like 'em? He always gives me a hard time because I call them toys.

[the poor toy figurines... prompto never not mentions them]

[Pfft, and Prompto thought that Noctis couldn't possibly have a crush on him... and he got them a full entertainment system? Yeah, Prompto, that's... that's not something you do for just anyone.

With a laugh, he's taking a look at the figurines.]

Yeah, I've known a couple guys that collected them.

I've never seen the point myself. They just stand around and collect dust.

[prompto barely contains rolling his eyes and holds up one of the wolf figurines, setting it on his open palm and presenting it like he's some tv host]

I don't see it either, but see. They're like--they don't have any dust on them. He takes care of them. Wolves, man.

[he makes a cutesy expression, fake-dropping it]

[he grins though, putting it close to dante's face]

This one's my fave. They're really cute cubs.

[Uh-huh. Sure. That's definitely the reason why. Not because Noct wanted his boyfriend to be able to game in style.

His eyebrows go up when Prompto pretends to fake-drop the figurine, but his expression breaks into a smile again when the other boy catches it and SHOVES IT IN HIS FACE WOW HOW'S HE SUPPOSED TO SEE IT LIKE THAT PROMPTO don't u know he's far-sighted so he grabs Prompto's hand to hold it still, pulling back far enough that he can see it.]

...huh. Sure, I guess they're pretty cute. They're all wolves?

[STANDBY TAKING ANOTHER LOOK, Cloud what is your deal man...........]

[There's a nod in response to Prompto's question about seeing his room, a "yeah, show me," but once they're moving again, he's gonna just...]

That didn't tell me anything. Why's he so obsessed with them?

[stops partway on their way down the hall to his room to look back at dante, wearing an expression on his face that says "you should've gone for the long version"]

Wolves are strong and they're actually all about their packs. They protect and are incredibly loyal.

[smiles] I guess he also thinks they might be cute?

[The short story still should have included the story! But as he follows Prompto down the hall, a hint of his old familiar smirk comes to his expression.]

So what you're telling me is he's actually a sap.

No wonder the two of you get along so well.

[listen, you trying to diss but he's actually very happy about any and all similarities pointed out between them]

I like that about us.

[the hallway has the doors to the bedrooms open, except for the bathroom on the side. he walks on over to the end where his room is, decorated in all things prompto and with the window open, allowing for natural light to filter in. it's chilly, but the sun has graced them on this day]
