burning down a building means they can rebuild it
destroying it means there are no signs of evidence. think about that
chiseler: (and no one even knew)

getting arrested isn't that scary, don't let guys like bigby tell you otherwise
but all right, if you wanna play it the safe way burning down a building would be easier to write off as an accident
maybe I just wanted to see how fast they'd rebuild the building if the building were destroyed entirely. seems like the whole thing went up overnight anyway
chiseler: (when the traffic's stuck)

okay that's a good enough point. I can let that one slide
THAT'S exactly what I'd like to know. we don't know where the building came from and checking it out we don't know what's actually in it. if we destroyed it, would it rebuild or would we find out what's actually in there?
the problem is making sure there's nobody in the building while trying to destroy it. I'm not really into the idea of destroying people without a real reason

[...there are better ways to phrase it, but you know. Whatever.]

I'm not gonna ask what you were doing there when the blackout was going on, but that sounds more like they have their own generator or another powersource somewhere. maybe underground or something. but that shouldn't make the stairs change

if there's no structure, there shouldn't be any rooms. unless you think the outside would cave away and there'd be freestanding rooms with zero access. actually, I could probably buy that too considering the other weird crap going on

I want to see a building permit. or blueprints. SOMETHING to prove that the city actually approved of retrospec even being here. how hard could that be?
chiseler: (with a signal that's out of range)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-23 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
don't even joke about that, the last power outage was a pain in the ass
it's easier to break into cubes than hidden rooms. it might be worth checking out somehow
this is where I wish I had some better connections to city hall so I could look through those things. they keep kicking me out for various reasons but I haven't tried for a couple of years. has anybody spoken to the mayor for a public statement about this bullshit?
chiseler: (say it again)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-24 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
if you say anything remotely close to "hello darkness my old friend" I'm bailing on this conversation
and THAT...is a long an unnecessary story, don't worry about it. I was thinking maybe it was just the mayor being scatterbrained like he is sometimes but he definitely seems to think seabiscuit's always been feathery
I refuse to believe that everyone off the network thinks all of this is normal, that's why. we gotta find a loophole in all of this. that's all I'm saying
chiseler: (I'm sick of listening)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-24 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
look, only one person knows all of my shame and good luck getting any answers from her
there has to be something that'll jar them. that's all I'm saying and that's gonna be my focus. do I get to say I told you so when I prove I'm right?
chiseler: (breaking in a sweat)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-27 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
I'll think about it, but now all you're doing is opening yourself up to me asking what other things you're focusing on
chiseler: (living a cliche)

[Thank you for not beginning to trigger Luke remembering things about himself that are less than pleasant...]

we'll see how long that secret stays secret
anyway I'm out, I need to see if I can actually text the right person this time
catch you later
