Is it really? What does that have to do with you being in America though? When in Rome, do what the romans do!
[He's smirking just a little on the other end now. Seems that Fynn is oddly amused with this change in the brat's tone. It's honestly a stark difference from earlier but he's grateful for it.]
Yeah, yeah! I can feel the sarcasm from here. Though, I never really tried brennivin. So, you "one upped" me on that.
That's one heck of a graduation gift. [He says with some sincerity in his tone.] All I had growing up was wine or champagne on occasion if my parents allowed it.
Yeah, I've heard. [To an extent. Ardyn's never gone into detail about it, but he's said enough about understanding Dante's own upbringing that it's easy to make a couple deductions.] The prof doesn't really talk about what it was like growing up with them, though. Too busy being dramatic and giving me lectures.
[There's no venom to his words. The prof is dramatic and keeps threatening him with lectures. It's just a part of who he is.]
[Fynn let's out a quiet sigh. It's kind of a damn shame that Ardyn hates their parents so much. Some of the best memories Fynn has happens to be from their childhood together but as of late, these new "memories" started to jumble some of those happier memories. It's really a shame. Fynn still doesn't know what to think about any of this but he doesn't like it much.]
Ardyn always been a tad 'dramatic', if you ask me. He has the flair of a thespian or whatever it's called. He knows how to tell a story or in your case, how to tell lecture someone.
[Trust him, Fynn knows what it's like to be lectured by that sardonic voice over and over again. It happens far more often than he likes.]
Any tips for getting him to shut up? I've managed it once but it seems pretty tough to do on a regular basis.
[And by "shut up" he means how to win an argument against Ardyn... the man seems to have an almost unreal ability to wiggle out of any battle of wits with his flippant air and sardonic remarks!]

[Not that he's actually been back to Europe since he turned 18... but that's not the point here, is it? Tone a little drier, he continues:]
But I'm glad my taste in drinks meets with your approval.

Supposedly it was my gramps' favorite; my old man brought me a bottle when I graduated. It's a special occasion kind of drink.
[That particular bottle hasn't been touched outside of the three shots taken from it that night.]

[Fynn stews on this for awhile. he knows his brother better than anyone but how to put this into words? Hmm....]
You have to know all your bases and facts forward and backwards. The sentient hat fiend will use all of his charm to make you seem like an idiot.
